š¬Here's a scary thought ...The average woman takes approximately 6 and a half years from the onset of symptoms (usually due to child birth) to see a women's health physiotherapist and get a diagnosis for her pelvic floor dysfunction.
Don't let this be you. Pads are not the answer. Don't ignore it or put it off or assume it will get better on it's own.
Next time you make an appointment with your hairdresser make an appointment with a recommended womens's health physiotherapist too (obviously not at the same placeš¤£). You can make a private appointment which is much quicker or get a referral through your GP.
If you have any of these pelvic floor dysfunction symptoms then show yourself some love and get to see someone who can help. Urgency (when you need to go you need to go now) , Stress (sneezing, coughing, moving, laughing), Mixed (a mixture of the above) , Multiple trips to the bathroom during the night. These are just a few symptoms and they all relate to both weeing or pooping.
In the majoirty of cases your pelvic floor health can be restored with advice and exercises from your womens health physiotherapist along with a few simple lifestyle and daily movement changes and a few nutrition additions from someone like me.
If you're affected by pelvic floor dysfunction and would like more information about how to begin your recovery journey please message me. I'll be happy to recommend a womens' health physiotherapist for you and after you've visited I can work alongside your physiotherapist to help you make those, lifestyle and movement changes and nutrition nudges to heal, strengthen and protect your pelvic floor.
